Bmw plug
 

I have bought some hella type plugs to use on my tom tom charging mount.
I want to power it off the aux socket.
Don't know which is the live terminal and which is neutral. I am guessing the centre brass pointed pin is the live but can't be sure
Please can someone advise

Center pin = live assuming that you auxillary (female) plug as been wired to match!

I'd encourage you to get a voltage continuity tester - or a multi tester as they come in very handy.

(and you can verify that any answer given to you about electricity on the internet is correct before possibly blowing up something expensive!)
