1150 GSA Spare Wheels & Tyres
 

What do you think about having a set of spare spoke wheels with speedway tyres mounted to be used as an alternative when I travel on-road only with my GS Adventure.
Regularly I use 70%-30% Dunlops but will like to feel my bike a little more sporty when I know I will only be twisting fast on good tarmac roads.

Not sure what you by "Speedway" tyres?

With speedway I meant more sport tyres not dual purpose, almost racetrack or highway like the ones a RT bike uses

You could mount a set of Bridgestone BT020 tyres on the bike, quite sticky & come in the right sizes for an 1150GS & have a set of Continental TKC80's on the other wheels for off road use.

Alternatively, buy a set of 17" wheels from an R1100/1150S or similar & fit sports tyres on them. Steering will be quicker but slightly heavier. Mount TKC's on the stock wire wheels.
