Suzuki DR650 for sale in Chile or Argentina

I am selling my 2005 Suzuki DR650 in Chile or Argentina. Date and location are very flexible but I would prefer the end of March in Buenos Aires. The bike has US plates in my name and I have the clean title and registration with me.

Miles: About 36,000 total. I have done about 19,000 of them from North Carolina to Ushuaia over the last 6 months.

It has been extensively modified for travel. Parts list and prices paid in picture.

Not included in the list are, center stand, foot pegs, windshield, Nelson rigg saddle bags. Also I replaced the clutch in Lima with a stock model, not an aftermarket one.

Also I have wired power to the Top box, handle bars and one beside your leg for a heated jacket.

The bike is on very good condition and I have taken good care of it these last 6 months. Definitely had some problems though which I have fixed.

-Oil changes every 2-3k miles. I also use quality 20w-50 Mineral oil.
-Replaced clutch in Lima about 7k miles ago
-Replaced entire carburetor in La Paz, Bolivia. 4K miles ago.
-new front wheel bearings in Colombia.
-new full set of rear wheel bearings installed TODAY.
-Welded and reinforced the rear frame under the top box in Bolivia when it cracked.
-have recently cleaned air filter.
-X-ring chain and sprocket has plenty of life left.
-New front fork seals in La Paz.

The bike needs:

-Carb cleaned (I will do it before you pick it up)
-New rear tire (Will replace it before you pick it up)
-exhaust could be repacked. If you bring the fiberglass I will do the work myself. Also considering swapping back to stock exhaust.
-A new rider
-I’m sure I’ll think of a couple small things in the next month.

Price $3,500

I will include a ton of spare parts with the bike I carry with me including, Plugs, full set of engine gaskets (minus one I used), an assortment of wheel bearings, new sets of front and rear brakes, assortment of fork and engine oil, used clutch cable, gasket maker, front sprocket seal, chain oil, expensive bead breaker tire changing tools, valve checking shims, new heavy duty front and rear tire tubes, manual tire pump, a few bolts and thread locker. I’m sure there is more I’m forgetting right now.

If you want the tool set and tank bag we can talk. I have every tool needed to break the bike down completely but I sort of raided my tools at home to bring them so I would not be super excited to give those up.

I definitely would prefer to teach whoever buys this bike a little about maintenance and how to take care of it. I would seriously consider buying it if you ride it back to the US. If you’re good to go then I’ll just hand the keys over.

Date and location are very flexible. Can’t hurt to ask.

All times are GMT +1. The time now is 11:41.
