Swap Triumph ST955i for bike in New Zealand
 

Hi, My 12 yo son and I will be coming to New Zealand mid July 2015 and would love to tour the country. We'll be arriving in Auckland but can meet and pick up anywhere.

My bike is an '04 Triumph ST 955i with under 20k miles on it, good tires, well maintained, ready to go. It has panniers, helmet case, great ride. It's available any time between June and September and I'm fine if someone wants to take a 3-4 week ride around the states or if you want to arrange to ride it at a different time than posted (2016/7 for example). I also have a Duc S4 Monster in San Francisco but she's a little more temperamental and not very toury).

I'm also open to renting from a private party: the prices posted on the tour rental sites seem pretty steep for our backpacking budgets.

just saw your post, so u are likely here now, but just buy a bike! way less cost, easy to do as a foreigner, and simply sell when u leave. rental here is waaay too expensive...
