Dan's off on a trip to Wyoming

But, as far as I know, he is still interested. If you do a swap lots of folks in this area to show you around.

no swap, but sell and buy back!

I am not swapping my back, but I can sell it to you and I will buy it back.

Right now I have a F 650, check it out under "Travel bikes for sale".

I always have a couple of bikes - what would you like to ride???

KLR 650 swap?

Thanks Chris for that, it would be great. Difficult for me to see that far ahead, but does not mean some arrangement could'nt be made? Off to the Pyrenees and (???) myself shortly, so will be out of touch for a while.

PS, Anybody want to come, approx first 2 weeks of August?
Bmw1200GS and me, looking for quiet, pretty twisty french, spanish, portugese,???? roads.

99 Transalp swap

:thumbup1: Paul J.
This sounds just right! I am not looking for a perfect looking bike but one that is reliable and runs well.
The Transalp would be a good choice for the twisty alps I reckon.
Let me say thank you for your resonse and I will 'plan' on this pending further communication.
I 'expect'the time to be June-July 2008.
We can make the details later and on a PM.
my email danodemotoman@yahoo.com
Oh darn, I would have to ride a few extra days from S Wales and back. :mchappy:
Yes, I am in Wyoming right now visiting brother and helping him put up a shop building.. hot here 100 F plus.. The Concours is a warm/hot bike in the summer.

Anudder bike for Al

El Aleman,

My brother, Al, who is going with me is looking for a bike also and would consider a sale/buy back.
The F650 would be fine. We both ride street and adventure touring. A heavy touring bike would not be our choice for the alps. Luggage would be a consideration.

Now as this is my 8th post I apparently am allowed to send a PM too Paul.

nice to help (provisonly !)

Good to see this may suit you, Alp currently sitting on blocks in my garage. New steering head bearings, exhaust repair, brake caliper service, seat cover, ongoing-slowly! As I have just aquired new(ish) 1200GS toy, having sold other bone breaking toy, KTM450 dirt thrower.
Back to the point, I have also :- givi 45L?(2 helmet) plastic top box (on the bike), magnetic expandable tank bag, tailpack(for pillion seat), soft throwovers(saddlebags in US speak) with hole burnt in them by Alp pipe, and probably an ortlieb by then too.
Other odds and ends aswell depending on my own plans at that time, may even be tempted to come with you, pending invite, probably in work thou, and there is a seed in my mind- an august trip to Romania, ah but what about the "misty????" NW states in August? Second bike availability, an unknown quantity at this time.
PS send you quick e-mail
