trip thru asia

starting to plan a trip thru asia and beyond from oz.i would like any advice from people who have done the trip.i want to do it on the cheap, mainly camping where possible.what sort of money would be needed, what bikes are best suited for medium sized guy(had a wr250f 2004)which was a bit uncomfortable on long trips.any interest from other riders.starting to get serious about this adventure...can email me at hoppa350@yahoo.com

There is a heap of reading from the blogs on this site ... how much have you done? Chris Scotts book 'advnture motorcycling handbook' (IIRC) does a good job of world summay ... See South Asia forum for more stuff... You'll also want to look at 'what bike', 'Yamaha' forums .. you can always get the seat fixed .. luggage and fuel range and longevity are your problems on the WR..

Camping in Asia .. you may find it chaep enough to hotel it .. cheap local type hotels ... When you hit turkey then change to camping ...
