These birds are driving me crazy
 

I am halfway thru a 10 day ride from Darwin to Melbourne, currently in St George, QLD. Currently the dead bird count sits at 3. The bastards are everywhere. Between the crows, some similar sized hawk looking thing and the big daddy of them all, the wedge tailed eagle, it's an excercise in bike control and sheer panic!
They are chowing down on the abudance of road kill which litters most Australian roads but especially outback QLD, and to a lesser extent the Barkly.
Be careful out there people, they are out to get us!

And watch out for emus! I nearly collided with one and I hate to think what the consequences might have been. They are very unpredictable.

Yep, the wild life can sometimes be a hazard. I hit a bush turkey 4 years ago, between Milawa and Whitfield, and wondered where it went. :confused1:

It wasn't till I stopped half an hour later, and complained to my mates about the smell of roast chicken, that I realised it was stuck between exhaust headers 3 and 4 - nicely roasted! :)
