Just a quick thanks to Goh and Samantha who we met days ago at Tweed heads, we were waiting for our bikes to clear customs and Quarantine in Brisbane and had been told by several people that we had to register the bikes here in OZ,
as we were driving north on the beach I spotted a bike with very un oz number plates so stopped to have a word and they clued us in.
Yes I already knew we were right and if you had a carnet you were OK but we hadn,t seen another vehicle on foriegn plates and you start to doubt yourself.
We have our XT,s back now, yipeee! with the minimum of fuss, once again thanks, also we have contacted 2 comunity members here and will be having a meet up over the next week or so

It's very rarely that you see vehicles with foreign plates in Australia.

It's not like Europe where there are lots of little countries bunched tightly together and where you have to cross borders to go on a real journey!
