Orange
Can I use my Orange mobile phone provider in NZ yet or will I have to use Vodaphone again or is there a better company?

Only if you want ROAMING charges to apply, just buy a local sim for the phone, much much cheaper.

I have a virgin phone (cue sniggers) which works fine in NZ on the Vodaphone network, there must be a roaming agreement.
juddadredd is right about the roaming charges if you're going to spend a while here. I used to work for Orange before setting off travelling & they dicked me round something terrible after I left, cutting the phone off! I moved to Virgin & they sorted everything out on the phone, I'm on pay as you go on a standing order & I can even choose & change how much limit I want to put on the account each month. Oh please be careful with Orange when Roaming!
Came back to blighty with a £400 phone bill when I went to Morocco for two weeks - nearly all of that was data charges though. You could give these guys a try MAXroam - the global roaming sim that doesn't know that you're travelling I've not used them but plan to give them a go when I head to Russia in July. m |
