All sorted now!
The flywheel puller required a fair bit of brute force and a good dose of WD40 and eventually came off. The puller bolt actually bent slightly in the process. The old sprag came out easily, and I could see the spring looked a bit tattered but all the blocks were still there with a little wear evident. The new sprag slipped in nicely and everything was back together in the 2 hours I originally predicted to perform the operation. How wonderful it is to have the right tools! Thankyou all for your advice! Anyone need a flywheel puller? :innocent: |
Hi all. Anyone have any idea how much a srag clutch is going to cost me for my KTM 640? And I'll bet it has to come from Austria?

Hi all. Anyone have any idea how much a srag clutch is going to cost me for my KTM 640? And I'll bet it has to come from Austria? Hi, I notice you're in Perth. Have you tried the KTM & Ducati shop at Causeway? I think the KTM headquarters for Oz is based there. I have a flywheel puller if you need to borrow one... I've now made Perth my home after 50,000km on the road on my 640. |
