Bikes XR250/250? And Melbourne...
 

Hi Everyone

I am living in Melbourne, and plan to start some sort of off road trip / adventure in January (I know it will be hot!), until about April...along with some rock climbing around Mt. Arapiles.

I've been looking bikes - XR250/350, XT250 (have got a full British license and used to ride a motorcross bike as a kid). Am thinking that a lighter bike might be the way forward - however the fuel range on these bikes seems pretty shocking.

Anyway I digress... would love any advice (and if you've a bike for sale around Melbourne that is less than AU$3000 would be good to hear from you)...

Have bought Chris Scott's Adventure Motorcycle Handbook which is turning into my bible.

This is my first every motorbike adventure - am totally psyched...!
