Overlanding USA

Anyone ever 'overlanded' in the USA and Canada? You know, a 6+ month road trip North/South, East/West.

As a Brit would you be able to bring in your own vehicle or buy local?

You hear so much about London --> Cape Town or Oz etc but very little about travel around the States and Canada, so interested if you know anyone who has ever done this.

Cheers :)

Hi,

Try these guys: fromalaskatobrazil

they spent quite a while going through Canada and a bit of time in the USA. I've emailed with Mark a little, a nice guy. Shoot him your questions.

Hi simple answer is yes to both, the N-S west coast route route alaska to ushuaia in chile seems to be more popular than the E-W route 66.

have a look at the expo for lots of info on stateside travel.

I've also been following the excellent blog fromA2B as merv has said.

No need to look further than over to the left of your screen:-
