Dino is our ’97 Land Rover 300tdi Defender 110 hard top that we completed our momentous 27 000 mile, nine month, overland trip across Africa from the UK to South Africa via the west coast.

Since returning to the UK, Dino has had a good rest and heaps of TLC and is probably in better condition than before the trip with a new clutch, brake vacuum pump, rear drive shafts among other things.

Dino is extensively equipped with almost every thing you could need to go travelling over distant horizons. So, without the usual long preparations needed to equip any vehicle for overlanding, you could just fill up with a bit of diesel, pick up a map and you’d be off!

This car is in very good condition for its age, with only 77 000 miles on the clock its good for many a mile yet.

Dino has been sold
 

Sadly Dino was sold yesterday, he has gone to a good home and should be off to north africa later this year.

He was good to us but it was time to move on, hopfully we will get a 90 on a drive in the not to distant future.
