It really rang a bell with me, having done the reverse direction, longer route, leisurely 13 months instead of 10 days!!
I still can't imagine though - 10 days end to end!

And following your Yellowbrick tracking map, you would have gone right past where I was born between Elephant and Castle and the river. Maybe 45 minutes ago!

Egypt - Sudan new borders
 

Thanks to the cooperation between Egyptian & Sudanese authorities which enabled the Panda to carve some history, making Philip Young, Paul Brace & the Fiat Panda the first to ever enter Egypt from Sudan via the new borders. (Wadi Halfa - Eshkeet - Qustul - Abu Simbel) Alot of preparations had to be done, not to mention communicating with 32 different Army & Governmental sectors and that was just for Egypt. Midhat in Sudan was working in parallel coordination with us and together with the some miraculous moments we pulled it off. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
