Twintraveller on Meadowbrook Ranch (English version)
Hi folks, after spending some strange days in Whitehorse with changing tires (first change after 17000km), oil change on the campground, our first Brake pad change with Franks support, we spent another wonderful day in Tagish at our friend Stefans place, who was so friendly to order some Northern Lights for us before we left the Yukon. Afterwards we felt that we had to go south, because we feared to hit some cold days up here in the north. the very next day our Coke and the tea water was freezing overnight, the temperature dropped from 20 °C to Zero. Therefore we decided to go down south the Cassiar Highway as fast as possible, stopped for a night at the incredible Salmon Glacier in Hyder, before we visited our friend Joern in Smithers, B.C. Joern gave us not only the chance to hide from the rain but also gave us something to eat and a place to stay. we had some great days ith him and his family. After 3 days we rode down to Williams Lake/Horsefly,B.C. where we have been invited to spend some days on the Meadowbrook Ranch. Ruth and Bernd read our article in a german speaking newspaper(Kanada Kurier)some month ago and invited us to their 520 Acres Ranch without knowing us at all. ( Since 5 days we are living on that Ranch, learn how to ride a horse, to bring home some cows and cattle and even learned to change Katjas chain and sprockets ourselves. we enjoy every minute we spent on this Ranch and even with some days of rain, we are more than happy that we found new friend here in B.C.

Now we are looking forward to the Horizons Unlimited World Traveller Biker Meeting in Revelstoke ( where we are going to meet some 50 people living the same way we decided to live. We will also meet again with Frank, who left us in Whitehorse

So folks, letīs go south, hit the Rockies again.
Greetings from wonderful Canada
Katja and Martin

Alles Liebe
Katja und Martin

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
