Why Come to an HU Motorcycle Travellers Meeting?

You can meet people who don't think you're crazy for wanting to ride your bike to South America or Africa or across Asia, or even around the world! Admit it, all your 'normal' friends and most of your family fears for your sanity! So, this is your opportunity to meet the people who will encourage you in that craziness, share their experiences and advice on how to do it, and maybe you'll meet them again in Mongolia or Timbuktu!

On the road now? Heading for Ushuaia? stop in to the Meeting - you'll meet loads of other travellers heading south - or north! Swap information and make new friends!

Location for 2006 was in La Boca, the "Los Trentinos" campground as in 2003-5.

What happened

The general plan for Argentina is always simple - have a good time and eat a lot!

From Flopy,

"we had a great time and i think that you can see in the photos! In the second picture we were going to La Loberia, we had luck because the day was wonderful! In the third, is the cordero that we ate at Julian's farm, it was delicious! in the third, that is Andy, and in this picture you can see that the asado was great, no? And behind him, is Mark and Aasha, and I think that they were thinking the same as Andy! ;) And in the first picture, you can see all the group in the farm!"

Monday, it was time to head south for Christmas and New Years at Ushuaia, or east or west or wherever!

Having fun: Christine from Germany and Nancy (Oscar's wife)

Tom pumping fresh water - no electrics!

A Toast - Oscar's friends that made it all possible: Left to R:
Chiuli, Africa Twin; Julian, farm owner; Oscar; and Jorge, wine meister for the meeting.

From Oscar:

"Many thanks for Karl, Maya and Andy for arrangments all the things for the BBQ. For all the travellers: Sorry for our wrongs and many thanks that they made the meeting, and very much thanks for Nancy and Flopy for their help and to let me to live my dreams. Thank Susan and Grant for the big job that you make for all the travellers. A big Hug: Oscar."

And from us, Thanks OSCAR! You do an amazing job - we get nothing but rave reviews about your efforts and the fun meeting you put on.

And for anyone who's read this far, get on the road and get down to Viedma for the next one! :)
