Our odyssey has spanned 14 years, 39 countries, over
100,000 km and produced 1000's of photos. For those who don't want to
read all the stories, we have now produced a photo
album. Only 457 photos so far...

This site is dedicated, first to our families and friends who have kept
our spirits up with their letters and made us feel connected, (with a
special thanks to Margaret and Gerri,
for support efforts above and beyond the call of duty). And second, to
all the wonderful folks we have met along the way, who have suggested:
"Why don't you write a book about your travels?"
Consider this the first draft...
This narrative is excerpted and somewhat edited from
letters to friends and family, and is very much a work-in-progress. The
final result may be a book, and possibly a CD, to be published later...
much later, since as the website evolves a book is becoming less likely,
or necessary.
