XT660R wheels on a XT660X??
I am about to get a XT600X. But I am also planing a trip from the UK to South Africa in about 2 years. I´d want a bike that I can use now, as well as for the trip. Does anyone know if the XT 660X would work with a 21" front wheel for the trip? I know that the X have 2,5 cm less travel and that the mounting of the wheel is in a different position to the R, but will this have any affect on the durability of the fork?

The reason for not getting the R direct is that I find the X much more fun on the road mean wile and that I will get it for a nice price

Or should I go the other way around??
