XT660 Tenere and Pillion
 

Apologies, I've looked but not found and should probably post in "what bike", but hopefully a simple and practical question.

Does anyone out there with a 29-inch inside leg, of 5'8"/1.7m height carry a pillion on a New Tenere?

I'm no adventurer (odd three weeker in Scandanavia, mostly days out in North Yorkshire) but fancy a return to a real dual purpose bike but do occasionally carry a pillion short distances.

Sick of shipping my bike around the world I bought a 660 Tenere to leave in the UK for future trips. I'm around the same height as you and while getting on and off the tenere is a stretch (even with the lowering kit fitted!) carrying my girlfreind on the back actually makes it easier to ride when it compresses the suspension. My first foray two up was into Paris (where she lives) and it went just fine. Planning to ride UK to Moscow two up in 2014.
