XT600z 1VJ 1988
Hi out there,
Bought XT600z 1VJ 1988. I own it a year I want to replace the tyres, what would you recommend 70% road 30% offroad use and what size? Also the battery fluid has evaporated twice what would cause this? Whats the right spec battery. |

Tyres: Continental TKC80
Theres not much difference between them on road, but off road its a whole different ball game. Front - 90/90 - 21 M/C 54 S Rear - 120/90 - 17 M/C 64 S But with the ludicrously low price of spare XT600 wheels you may a s well buy a second set and run two sets of wheels, one on road one off road! There is also the Pirelli Mt21 which are widely used and great for a slightly more off road biast tyre than the Tkc80's Correct battery = YB12AL-A2 12V 12AH The battery fluid sounds like your rectifier/regulator is running amok and over charging. Probably need to buy a new one or your aging wiring is not happy! |
