XT600S?
LOOKING AT A 1986 XT600S FOR FIRST DUAL SPORT BIKE. 9600 MILES. $1000. CLEAN. SEEMS TO RUN FINE. MY MAIN CONCERN IS PARTS AVALABILITY IN U.S. ANY THOUGHTS OR ADVICE?

Hi
Parts are not a problem unless it is a very early model (rear drum brake - 34K cylinder - alloy swing arm). Even if it is, it will be a long time untill parts are a BIG problem. Get a parts fische or book for it and you should be ok. David Lambeth. Happy new Year.
