It's easy - just get an old kicker lump and remove the mechanism. The casings for both electric and kick are the same and all the holes, etc are common.

Don't forget to get another clutch cover with a hole in it for the shaft (and the lever itself)- the old one isn't convertable.

hi there.. try out the search field... I personally have posted on a thread exacticly what parts to get and how to do it..

Have fun ;)

P.S.: if you can't find what you want here on the hubb you try and use your preferred search provider and at the end(or beginning) of what you're searching just add the word: "HUBB" without the quotes..

Vando ;)

Anyway, here is the thread ;)

I found it using my preferred search provider SAPO: Portugal Online (it's a portuguese portal) and searched for "HUBB bacardi23 kickstart" and just 2 links came up and it was the very first hit..

don't get it.

forgive my ignorance, but i just don't get it.

why do people still try to add a kickstarter where there isn't one?
what are the advantages to justify the added weight?

i thought batteries and e-starter systems are nowadays very reliable, on modern bikes.

do the new overlanders and enduros, i.e. new tenere, the new ktm 690, etc come out with e-starter + kickstarter?

please enlight me, 'cos i genuinely don't understand.

As soon as the temperature gets down to near ffffrreezing point I can forget trying to start my "modern, reliable" (old)XT. The oil drag just doesn't let the motor turn over. If there was a kickstart, maybe a coupla prods from the boot might be enough to then let the starter spin fast enough???? I do get cheesed orf having to 'jump start' the bike in the winter.
