Rebuilding my XT600E engine and as I havnt got a manual and cant read german and portuguese, i was wondering if anyone could help me out ??

Need torque settings for engine bolts, rocker cover bolts etc. Clutch nut , Rotor nut, casing bolts.

Also as the bike was stripped sometime ago, has anyone any close up pictures of the head, engine cable routings etc !!

Thanks.. (i am looking for a manual on ebay but bit of a wait)

The only ones I can see are under "Enginer top end tightening torques" that don't mention a rocker cover, perhaps the terms are different:

Cyclinder head cover bolts 10 7.2
Camshaft sprocket bolts* 10 7.2
Camshaft chain tensioner body bolts 10 7.2
Camshaft chain tensioner end plugs 20 14
Cyliner head bolts 25 18
Cyliner head acorn nuts 20 14
Cyclinder block to crankcase 8 mm nuts 22 16
Cyclinder block to crankcase 10 mm nuts 38 28
Cyclinder block to crankcase bolts 10 7.2
Engine mounting bolts front mounting bracket bolts 58 36
Cylinder head to frame mounting bolts 58 36
Swing arm pivot bolt nut 100 72

* Apply loctite 271 (red) before tightening screw.

Does any of this sound like what you are after?

I may well have an electronic copy, I am speaking to some one, as I don't want to take a big heavy book on my trip, I will let you know when it comes through if you would like a copy.

Iain.
