XT600E - Fashion Wear 2008?
 

I was wonderful what all the best dressed XT600E Owners are wearing this year?

I have just procured a set of these leathers which seemed very good value -

Black NANKAI Leather Motorcycle Suit - Dainese Quality on eBay, also Men's Leathers, Full Leathers Sets, Motorcycle Clothing Helmets, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 16-Jan-08 00:54:57 GMT)

They are as good as Dainese leathers in terms of quality of build and materials I know because I used to wear Dianese stuff. They are also very comfortable. They are made from thick Drum Dyed Jap cow hide. Not many left because apparently they have flown out. The maker "Nankai" has finally gone out of business (after 38 years) after the owner died last year which is a great shame.

The main question is - Will I look a "Complete & Utter Plonker" :thumbdown:wearing this leather suit riding my big trailee this coming Summer???? Perhaps I should get a Superbike :scooter: instead...

Well Maybe not a COMPLETE & utter Plonker...... but its a start! :rofl:

and really Neil, who cares if your sweating like a fat chick at a disco? as long as you have your skin intact if you do throw yourself down the road.
Personally I wear a Frank Thomas Aqua, with Armour, even in Summer.... helps me lose a few lbs :thumbup1:
Leather is HOT in summer...... ask any Bike Cop ( ahem) and they will tell you...... they will also tell you that after they have scraped a few 'Complete & Utter Plonkers" who DONT wear protective gear off the road that they wont be without.

The yanks call it ATTGATT all the gear all the time. it saves skin. skin grafts HURT.

Yeah I still have my venerable Frank Thomas Aqua jacket too for when it gets cold and wet (like now) (wer'e not all so lucky to reside in sunny Spain)! I was going to use it in the summer too but when I saw those leathers I simply couldn't resist... Besides, I had to spend my Christmas pressy money on something didn't I?

Why would you look like a plonker ?? I soley reserve that right for myself :)

Looks like decent kit, and full leathers offeres better protection than the textile stuff many of us wear (mainly due to temperature and flexibility)..

For the road (and the bedroom), i prefer leather :innocent:


P.S. Bit risky buying gear off the net. Size is critical and variable.
