XT600E Brake light
All,
My brake light stays on. It is appears to be resulting from my foot brake. I gave the "brake switch" a rattle and a twist and it appears to be working again. Is this a common problem ? Should I replace the switch or could it just be sticking or dirty ? Thanks |

Try to take it apart and see if theres dirt or grit inthere. If you find nothong obvious, buy a new one.

Yeah I think so. theres basicly 2 wires, a spring and a nut to come of, to remove the whole unit. Clean the wires/connecters whilere youre at it.

Mine was exactly the same when I bought the bike. Initially I gave it a squirt with WD40 in case it was sticking, but upon closer inspection it was simply adjusted incorectly and need to be slackened off.

Doesn't it feel good when you fix something yourself? I love it, brings a smile to my face every time.
