First check will always be the fuses.

If they're fine , go around and look for lose connectors or broken wires..

Post back when you've checked that !

P.S. Welcome !!

cheers guys, well a few things about this xt600 motor its in a off road buggy not in a bike frame. It has no fuses apart from the main one at the battery as the wiring loom has been modified to fit in the buggy.
It does turn over but just no spark, all other things work.
Could it be the coil or cdi?

Thanks mate, I also have a xt600 bike 91 model which I ride.

Just started porting & polishing the heads and giving it a general clean up before gong back in the buggy.
I now need a new or 2hand stator for it.
