XT600 needle removal

Anyone know how to get the needle out from the slide on the secondary carb on a early XT 600 please? The slide has a grub screw in it,which I've removed but the needles stuck and I do'nt want to break anything

I've just stripped cleaned and reasembled mine, it should pull out but be careful as there is a small spring in the side of the collar that comes out with the needle

Thanks RR,I worked it out in the end.The problem with mine was that the needle seemed to be stuck in the slide,I think it has never been taken out before and after 24 years it did'nt want to move!
