Xt600 IVJ / 3AJ wiring in english ( please )
I'm trying to solve an intermittant no spark situation on my 89 IVJ tenere.
A wiring diagram in english, with the wire colours would be very useful I recently obtained a workshop manual for the 3aJ model, however it was lacking the all important diagram. If anyone has such a diagram for ivj, 3aj, please could you email it me : timmi(at)yage.net It would be great to see these diagrams available on this site for the benefit of all xt owners |

On my ivj, brown ( not pink as per 3aj diag ) and red wires run from the ign source coil on the stator to the CDI unit. Three White wires run from the charging coils on the stator up to the reg/ rec. a single blue wire is the neutral indicator circuit. The Pick up coils have three wires running from them to the cdi, the colours are as per the maintenance spec area of my 3aj workshop manual ; Blue /yellow , black / yellow, Green /white. ( which is different from this 3aj diag which says blue/yellow,green/ white, green/yellow ) |
