XT600 ignition swap
Here's yet another swap question from me. The TCI black box on my project '92 XT600 is scrap. The parts for the earlier CDI ignition seem to be much more available than the TCI parts. Does anyone know what I'd have to swap onto my '92 motor to use an XT600 CDI, or if it's even possible? I could figure out the wiring myself, I just need to know what hardware I'd need. I'd need the CDI box, of course. I'm guessing I'd need the flywheel and stator/pickup from a CDI donor bike.
Which begs the question; do the flywheels and such interchange between the two bikes? I'm not concerned with keeping the electric starter, so does a kicker motor stator cover fit onto an E motor? |
