xt600 alternator/generator nut

can anyone tell me if the 19mm nut holding on the generator is left or righthand thread?

It's normal right hand thread,and if it's like the one on the end of my crank it will be pretty tight,thats nothing though,I presume that your taking the rotor off? Be very careful not to damage the end of the crank as the rotors really tight!
