Xt600 2kf

Hi
Just got another XT600. This one is a 2KF model it is kick start only and has 2kf cylinder so I thought it would be a very early model, however it has front and rear disc brake and the engine is the gray colour which I thought was on the later XTs after about 88. I have had a quick search and cant find much info on the 2KF.
I was going to use the bike for spares but it is much better condition then I first thought so will be getting fixed up.
Does any one have a link to the specs of this model,
Any known problems with this model
What is the difference between the 2KF cylinder and the 3AJ cylinder
I would think it has the smaller oil pump is this correct
I also need side panels and a plastic for the tank right side if any one has any spare let me know thanks.

Fix It!!!!!

Stammbaum XT600 2KF

someone consider it the best XT, I mean it's more modern than the previous, without going through the "street vehicle" path, started with next model, the 3TB.

Against the 3AJ model, (tenere') it's lighter, no electric start, but it's probably true, it's the best XT.

Ah oil pump, it's the newer model (you will see two kind of 2KF engines, both same letters, but the grey one is newer)

Thanks Cyberzar
Just need to find a few bits now, quite shocking what some people want for old plastics 45 euro for 1 tank plastic so may take some time to source parts.
