XT350 shock upgrade

Took my 89 XT350 to the desert this weekend and the rear bottoms out like crazy. Expected from a tired bike with 20000 miles on it, I suppose, and I weigh 200 pounds. Any recommendations for upgrades for this shock? I've seen some with gas cylinders attached unlike my regular one. These stiffer? Any way to replace the spring with a stiffer one? Can't find stock ones new. Any help appreciated.

better u get the sizes of linking points, screws diameter top\down, kind of link (fork\eyelet) and width, and eye to eye size. Then someone can more easily advice a replacement shock.

About the spring, get lenght uncompressed, internal and esternal diameter, and thickness....

The shocks with external reservoir could be TT350 one, but I'm not sure they are compatible. I can compare it, (have in garage) if you give me the sizes
