xt front sprocket

Hi. I have lost the nut and locking washer from the front sprocket on my 1990 xt600e 3tb. Do any of you know where I can get a new nut and locking washer from, or if the nut and washer will fit from another bike? At the moment I have the sprocket held in place with a jubilee clip! Thanks for any help.

I put a new chain & sprocket kit on my old (1985) FZ750 the other month and decided to put a new locking washer & nut on at the same time,I just phoned Granby Yamaha and they posted it.
They know their Yamahas, I had to order 15 shims a few weeks prior to that £75!.With a bike of that age the local dealers were'nt any use but Granbys got me sorted, they're about 120 miles from me so it was all done over the phone.

hi there the nut is a metric fine pitch thread and also thin for the size of the thread , so best to get the right yamaha nut and tab washer .the last thing you wont is the sprocket making a bid for freedome , other bikes will use the same nut but the right parts are the ones to go for , all my xt parts are reasanably priced so not worth the hassle of trawling around take care zigzag
