Hello all
Ive got an xt 600 "B" reg :funmeteryes:
its not pumping oil thought the oil filter:(
Ive checked the oil pumps they seem to be ok
has any one had the same problem & how do you fix it :helpsmilie:

uhmmmm add oil! it's a "dry sump" but it doesn't work without oil.. I'm joking of course! :P

Still, it's very strange that it's not pumping oil...
Did you make any engine repairs lately?

Oil pump pick up sieve/filter could be blocked.

This bit, underneath has a filter/gauze that get blocked with shit.

Dont bother lookin underneath the bike, that filter is inside engine cases !!!

And as Barcardi23 says "very strange" so ensure you understand the procedure for checking oil level (via oil tank) in your dry sump xt.

Check the blanking plug in the right hand Side of gearbox output shaft has not fallen out?..if your running it with bleed screw undone on oilfilter housing shove a pipe in hole and stick it in top of oil tank saves making a shit mess everywhere.
