Wind protection
Hi, I find my XT600E very unconfortable in the tarmac (i.e. open road) because of the lack of wind protection. Should I buy a windshield? Thanks and regards. NCR |

No. It's ugly. It might take some wind pressure off your chest but will give you a lot more noise around your helmet. And if you ever bump into something, it'll hurt your ribs or other parts.

That is really common here in Brazil... and everybody who tried said that is a great improvement in confort, you need only adjust the screen height to reduce the turbulence...
But... it is really, really UGLY! Usually the choice was the custom bikes (Shadow) screen, but we have now some suppliers who develop special screens, a little less ugly, to XT600E... If it's secure... I think not worse than the other bikes custom high wind screen, but is important to do not use ACRILIC, because when crash, that cut like glass... Some ideas: ![]() |
