What other bike wheels will fit my 3AJ?

I'm planning to do a bit of trail riding with my 3AJ and am on the look out for a spare set of wheels for it.
Do the later model XT's (or any other bike for that matter) have wheels which would fit?

Thanks,
Craig....

Front wheel: all Tenere's from 1VJ upwards. Maybe also from the XT's, but that's steel rims.
Rear wheel: 3AJ only. XT's: no, those are 17" rims.
Above what will certainly fit. Other types don't know.

rear wheel: you can use also 2KF or 2NF (18" and disc brake), but you have to change the hub clutch (chain alignment is different)

front wheel: they are all 21", but starting from 1990 yamaha is using steel rims (more weight, rust!). depending on the model, it might be necessary to change the brake disc.

Thanks for the info. guys. Not sure what you mean Klaus about the 'Hubb Clutch' though. I going to have to look that one up in my book when I get home. Thanks.

no, no, not HUBB (that means Horizon Unlimited Bulletin Board)! i said: hub (clutch).
this is official yamaha microfiche expression (and due to my lack of english no better expression came to my mind...).
what i mean is the part to which the rear sprocket is fixed.
look at this:
http://216.37.204.202/Yamaha_OEM/Yam...e=13&A=20&B=29
(no. 6)
chain alignment between 3AJ and 2KF (or generally spoken between kick- and e-start) differs about 10 mm, and this is compensated with the above mentioned part.
swing arms are the same.
