what chain xt600e

the chain on my bike isn't particularily worn, but it has tight spots in it that i am not happy with. Im particular about lubing it every week and ive tried various lubes on it to free it, but it's for the bin. Im gonna replace it and don't mind spending that bit extra on a good chain. I always use DID ERT2 on my Honda CRF and have no problems. No idea what the current chain is as the previous owner put it on, all i no is it's an o-ring type. What number of links do i need and what chain type should i go for? It's an xt600e 2003

the gearing/chain on my XT600E is 15/45 with a 106 link 520 chain. DID do a chain for it, oem 520V or 520VM(X-ring) as an upgrade. i recommend the X-ring over a plain O-ring.

i just got a kit for my triumph from M+P with a DID X-ring and two steel JT sprockets for £85 inc P+P, which was pretty good for a superbike kit, a smaller 520 should be less. the sprockets quality is no-frills, but solid. if you must you can get an alloy renthal rear for less lb but more £, but i dont personally think its worth it.
i got a snottoiler for xmas so im going to see if it makes any difference
