weight load

Hi mates:

I need to know the maximum weight you load the 98 xt 600 e,because i'll be travelling for 2000 kms or so down here and other thing i know this bike might handle 2 up with load(gobi cases on hepco becker rack and some luggage)but anyone tried this bike with that load? arround 200 kilos,that's it

Not a later model but I did 1500km with myself 100kg my wife 85kg and about 15kg of luggae cross country and on roads in Morroc with out a complaint from my 89 XT Tenere last year.

The handling is pretty poor at the best of times but fully loaded she still manage a good 80mph on the motorway to RABAT.

So I would have though your trip will be fine. Remember to keep the weight low and central. Also cross-country with a pillion is hard as you can’t stand on the pegs.
