TTR600 - oil in rotor/stator compartment

hello,

i discovered that my bike has oil in the left engine side. This is the compartment where the stator/rotor is. I discovered because i removed the center cap for cranking the engine to check valve clearence.

is it normal that there is oil there?

I checked the TTRE maintenance manual and there seams no oilseal on the crankaxle. I assume there's no diference with a TTR here.

(pardon my technical english....)

cheers,
Sander

No worries Sander, that's how it is.

If it is of any use, have a look back at a thread in here from 2007 about checking the timing for the TT600R.
