TTR 600 Belgarda

Hi
I am trying to find what the oringal carb and size jets were fitted to the Belgarda TTR 600 98 model.
I got the technical data for 2002 but the carbs are different.
My bike has alot of fueling problems,If ridden hard it will run very lean then appear to run out of fuel and stop.
If the fuel supply is changed (use a fuel bottle, bike is being run on dyno)the bike starts running very rich.
The bike has a different cam fitted and a CRD pipe.
So any ideas whats wrong?
Thanks

Check the little filter on top of the float needle seat. Take it out and into the woods and shoot it.
It might happen that this filter is partly clogged letting in enough fuel for part load running, at full throttle your float level decreases, leaning out the mix. Eventually too lean and engine dies.

So, remove and put in larger inline filter from car shop.

If it's the same as my 2001 model the mesh filter will be partially blocked as above, it is tiny, about the size of your little finger nail. Don't know how mine got blocked, I always used a fuel filter.

Just got my bike back from garage, they changed the main jet and checked settings in carbs trying different settings. They done 51 dyno runs to get it running correctly, and it seems fine.
I have about 39BHP.The bike is quite responsive but I do feel I shoud have a bit more BHP.
What do you guys think?

The almost standard Tenere already does 44 hp at the rear wheel, 39 is definitely too low.
Dd they do the dynojet runs with exhaust gas analyser, this tells you everything about the mixture.
Also, chaging jest isn't very helpfull except at full throttle. In the range that you are driving it is the needles that determine the mix.
Best approach would be to run on test bench and adjust needles till slightly rich mix is obtained.

Hi,
I'm riding a TTR since 1998. I had the same problems till i found those guys from www.off-the-road.de. They do a very good job on everything which is about the TT and XT models of Yamaha. So they have a carb kit for the TT600R which i strongly recommend for everybody who has carb probs. You can find it here: http://off-the-road.de/enduro/zubeho...gaserkits.html
Bye,
Thorsten
