TT600RE the same engine as XT600?

Hi all

Currently re-building a 2004 TT600RE and was wondering if the XT shares the same engine when it comes to gaskets ?

Is there anything else in common ? because it seems theres a lot more consumables available for the XT than the TT

Cheers

Yes, I’m not an expert, but it is my understanding that the TT600RE has the exact same engine as 1990-1995 XT600.

Most things are different (except for the engine), I had to get lots of parts from Yamaha but wemoto has some bits. You can use the clutch cable from 1990-1995 XT600 with small modifications.

Hi again Will

The only difference I know of is the RH carb and inlet rubber are both larger diameter.

If you are not sure, compare the part numbers here Yamaha TT600RE Service Manual

Hows the preparation coming on?
