TT600RE Hepco and Becker Rack and Panniers

Anyone have experience of these on a Yam TT600R/RE?

Would go for the OTR rack and panniers, but a company that can't answer an e-mail within 48 hours is one I don't usually do business with.

Erik Saue has been around the world with them, I have the OTR stuff, would choose Hepco and Becker as an alterntive as they too mount to the rider footpegs to support the subframe. Metal mules don't.
I think OTR are on holiday at the moment (small workshop type outfit apparently).
The OTR stuff is cheaper as well.

H&b

I have H&B rack on my XT, and aluboxes (got them on ebay coming from a TTR) If your not in a hurry, you can probably spare some money and get them second hand on ebay.. can also separately get frame and boxes separately (like I did), frame MUST be exactly your model and year,H&B boxes once that they r right smaller and left bigger are all good

I have that rack on my TT600RE in combination with the junior II boxes (1 small 1 large, = the 'enduro' kit).
Can't say anything negative about that combination, robust enough and the frame is not very complicated to mount - i.e. it fits more or less ;-)

The availability of the OTR rack has always been a problem.

i got the OTR set on my TTR and drove about 10kkm with it, of which 3000 gravel (Alaska, Prudhoe and Yukon, Inuvik).

Altough the fitting needs a bit of attention, the boxes and rack are very solid. (not 100% waterproof though).

i can send you pictures of the mounting etc. if you want.

cheers,
sander

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
