TT600RE & XT660E engine

Hi,

I have an oil change coming up and want to fit an oil temperature gauge. I've found a cheap (?) gauge and sender ( http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=527169 ) but it's only listed for the XT600E for various years.

Is the engine in my 2004 TT600RE essentially the same as the XT600E (specific years?). It's the drain plug size that I'm most interested in, in this instance.

cheers,

Hi I ordered the same one for my TT600re and it does not fit it's too big, luckily I sold it on at the same price i bought it for.
I have now got the correct one from here

http://www.louis.de/?partner=moto-de...moto-detail%22

They are in Germany and i faxed order it took just over a week to arrive part number 10034129

Hi,
At louis.de, part nr 10034316 is 35euros cheaper and it is supposed to fit as well.

Hi could be wrong but part number 10034316 does not have dip stick to match TT600r one. part number 10034129 is the correct one on their list.

Just to add to the topic www.offtheroad.de do them for 49 euro, and they definately fit.

postings on the TT600R.de forum suggest that the cheaper one has a slightly longer dip stick, but it fits on the TT600R/RE.

in any case, I really need a 'sender in the sump plug' version, what's the real name?

As opposed to the temp gauge on the dipstick type.

cheers,
Doug

Hello DougieB,
The thing you found in your original posting is a 'moto detail' branded part (for 25£), probably very similar to the part I gave you the Art. Nr. at Louis.de for 14,95Euros.

I bought this one and installed it. It fits, and it's even working!

Wouldn't be very surprised if the recommended RR thing and the moto detail part are in fact identical, apart from the brand & 35euro price difference.

Just in case you haven't decided yet.
