TT swingarm on an XT?

I've always wanted to get more travel out of the XT, or at least raise the ride height to some degree so I don't have the loaded bike fall off the kickstand.

So I was wondering if anyone has mounted a 1983-ish year monoshock TT600 swingarm on a 1990+ XT600? My goal here would be to have the different suspension linkage in hopes of getting more suspension travel out of it.

Heh, yeah, I've actually been following that thread pretty closely. The problem is he's using a pre-"E" frame, before 1990. I have the XT600E, I'm not really sure just how similar the two are.

Mainly I just want more suspension travel.

Thats a conversion I have concidered doing to my 1988 XT600z Tenere. However, although the TT swing-arm itself will fit into the XT frame, the linkage arms are of a slightly different design where they fit to the frame and shock-absorber.
It might still be possible to mix parts from various bikes to get it to fit, or maybe an easier solution would be to fit a longer shock-absorber.
