Tenere Valuation
Hi
For insurance purposes I need to find the current market value of my 1986 1VJ Tenere. I have been to sites like eBay and AutoTrader but I feel I need more accurate info. I'm guessing that there's no one more knowlegable on this subject than you lot. So, a 1986 Yamaha XT600 Tenere, shiney white ,original trim, good condition. Approx 32,000miles. no bumps or blemishes. What's it worth? Please take the trouble to give your estimate. I will be using this to argue my case for a fair price. Thanks |

Hi Bernard,
You may be able to get help in arriving at a realistic valuation from Rick of R.A.P. Superbikes in North London Tel : 020 7794 9997. website www.rapbikes.com. Rick imports large trailies from Italy and he has mentioned how very difficult it is becoming to source good clean standard Teneres. I recently bought my 1VJ Tenere from Rapbikes and it is in very very clean condition with 34,000 kms on the clock, although I have had to spend a little money to get it back to standard trim, as the previous owner stuck a huge twin headlight touring fairing on the bike. I am sure Rick would help you with a valuation if you asked him nicely. Cheers Cliff from Cardiff P.S. Thanks again for the info on the screen!!!
