tenere camshaft
Hi, I'm in the process of rebuilding my 1vj after a fantastic (trouble free) tour of Morocco.
Ive located a 3aj barrel, head and rocker box, but no camshaft. Does anyone know if the !vj cam will fit into the 3aj rocker? Also i've noticed that there are different nos on the followers - are these interchangable and what do the nos mean? Any information would be greatly apreciated. Also If any ones got a good second hand gearbox - let me know. Thanks for the help, Peter. |

cam and numbers
Peter,
All XT6 camshafts are identical - so you can put the 1VJ camshaft in the 3AJ cilinder head. The numbers (1, 2, 3, 4) on the rockers indicate where they should go - inlet left, right, outlet left, right. From the parts diagram I can determine that 1 goes on inlet valve left, 2 inlet right, 3 exhaust left, 4 exhaust right, but this should be checked! Problem is, I don't have my Clymer manual with me, so could anyone verify? Auke |

I have quite a few left overs from my XT600's.
Let me know via PM the bits you need and I'm sure I will be able to help.
