Tenere 3AJ Windscreen.

Does anyone know which models share the screen and where in God's green earth I might find one. Tried endless breakers, to no avail. Woe is me!

Cheers ears,

Here is the link to one I have.
You can buy cheaper baja ones from the USA

You'll find them on the German ebay.
Not cheap.

Try to contact Baglux 01745 823333, they can supply screens for the 3AJ, though I think they are all higher than standard. I bought one for my 3AJ a few months ago, cost £70 and needed some plastic to be trimmed off to give enough clearance when my higher handlebars were turned to full. They take about 6 weeks to be imported from France..

You can have my whole fairing and windscreen assembly - if you swap me with a 'naked' headlight assembly!

I bought a 1vj with a 3AJ fairing mod, and really, really don't like it.

Really can't stand the way the fairing makes me feel like I'm floating, rather than riding on the motorway.

AND I can't see my front wheel when I'm off road !!! :eek3:

I'm intrigued to know how the 3aj - 1vj fairing switch was doe - did the bike need bracketery welded onto the frame????

By the way, I've got a 34l/55w flyscreen (no brackets) if it's any use

With a little work, i guess 1VJ with 3AJ fairing is quite possible.
But there is also some chance you are the owner of the Belgarda kit for the 1 VJ. Something you don`t find often. And, if you do, it doesn`t come cheap.

Edorr, for the standard windscreen check www.kedo.de * KEDO - Performance Products or www.Wemoto.com * The UKs biggest choice of motorcycle parts for Japanese and European machines.. I can`t guarantee you they have it but they have lot of 3AJ products and you might be lucky.
If you`re taller than 1.80m i recommend you the aftermarket, higher windscreen for the 3AJ. I have 1.87 and all the wind is splashing right in my face (lot of noise). You`ll find this product at Louis Motorcycle Shop in Germany for the price of 80 Euros:
MRA TOURENSCHEIBE GETOENT für YAMAHA XT 600 Z - Louis - Motorrad & Freizeit

Oh, ha ha! Yes, that's it -- and that explains why the replacement head lamps I bought (3aj lamps) didn't fit at all!

Mine doesn't have the lowered fender though (thank goodness!).

Apart from not liking the way it looks, feels and makes me not able to see my front wheel - its also a pain when you want to work on the bike (which I'm doing often enough) because the whole thing has to come off.

Still willing to swap the whole contraption for the original 1VJ headlight set-up. So if anyone's interested.

Mine isn't welded onto the frame. Its kind of... how can I explain it, mechano'd around the forks and frame and then bolts into itself. The bracket is in two pieces. No, maybe its three.

Er... maybe I'll take pictures so you can see.
