anyone tried hagon fork springs?

thinking of fitting these progressive springs to my 1vj tenere. anybody tried them? they any good? cheers. karl.

Hi,
I have fitted a two-inch spacer on my 3aj and for now this has firmed up the front end rather a lot (maybe to much). I say” for now" because I'm sure that having the bike with luggage and/or pillion will make a lot of difference again to the set up. Fine manoeuvres are now much more controlled.
It is recommended by a lot of folk that you get them professionally set up along with the rear shock, but off course this means lots of ££££££££££. I do use the hagons in two other very different bikes and it has improved the handling no end, although again, I must say that I feel it would be much better to do a full set up, front and rear, to gain full advantage to your particular requirements.
What ever you do it will change the handling of your bike, just hope its for the better out come. Oh and look at upgrading your rear shock spring also.

We fitted Hagon Progressive fork springs to a XT600e (with a larger Acerbis fuel tank) over 10 years ago and are pleased with the results, in particular the reduction in the front end dive when the front brake is applied. The bike has been used constantly over this time, both for commuting and overlanding for 3 years (UK to Australia and North-South America).

I,ve used them in mine and they have improved the dive but are quite stiff.........

I have Wilbers in mine, I chose them because of the brand, I KNOW they make good shocks, so the springs should also be fine. They cost about 10£ more than other brands, so no big deal.

I like'em, very much actually. Just tried my buddys xt600e (identical to mine) with stock springs, big difference.
