Tenere 34L CDI and a Carb question
 

The sales guy at my local yamaha bike shop
told me that the CDI unit for the 34L has been discontinued. Can I use one from a later model?

Also, in the secondray Carb, the needle is supposed to have a small spring next to the screw fixing point. Mine is missing but seems to run fine. Could I ever expect problems?

you can use cdi units from the following models:
43F, 55W, 1VJ, 2KF, 2NF, 3AJ, 3TB (only kickstart version!).
wiring and cable colours may vary, but function is the same. refer to the wiring diagrams:

carb:
it works, but it's better to have this spring.
unfortunatly it is not available as a single spare part. try to find a similar one, e.g. from a pen.
