tenéré 660 1991 a good choice?
Hello folks, planning an (almost) RWT , with two on one Bike (Yes...thats the way we like it
)Some people are telling me that some series of Yamaha XT where NOT so succesfull( but I do not know what series) My question is simple /this Bike : Yamaha Ténéré 660 of 1991 with 38000 Km Can this still be a trustworthy bike for a one year trip? Any specific remarks on this bike? Thanks Pol

Depending on it´s state, yes it´s a good choice. They are bomb proof, and the 60 cc extra gives a bit more torque to lug your passenger around.
There´s no such thing as a bad XT. Some were just better than others ... Auke |

After 10 years of riding my XT 250 i am finally upgrading to 660 Tenere 1995 model.
I agree, XT have a great track record and i'll be sad to sell the old XT ... it is a 1984 model. Zephyr |
